Re-engage with nature’s living energy - the Kawsay of Pachamama

The Joyful and Mystical Andean Tradition

The Andean tradition is a simple yet powerful way of life that teaches us happiness is a choice encompassing all aspects of our existence. From health and shelter to food, career, family, community, creativity, and passion, happiness is key to a fulfilling life.

Happiness doesn’t mean a perfect life or lack of challenges. Personal growth and overcoming obstacles are central to the human experience. While some spiritual traditions and psychology schools suggest happiness is a state of mind, Andean mystics emphasise the importance of our energy. Our true nature is joyful, but we’ve forgotten this truth. Their teachings help us remember who we are and live as joyful beings.

Unlike other spiritual traditions, the Paqo's way isn’t about escaping life or enlightenment but fully engaging in life with joy and laughter. By cultivating awareness and joy, they believe we can remember our true nature and live happily ever after.

Paqo's see human beings as special, possessing the highest level of consciousness, emotional development, and creativity. We are creators, capable of driving the energy (sami) of the universe that is external to us.

Guiding Your Journey Towards Self-Discovery and Transformation

How Inka Cosmovision Transformed My Life

In 2011, my life underwent a profound transformation when I met the Qero elders in the High Andes. This encounter resonated deeply with my soul, feeling like coming home. Immersed in their teachings, I found a perspective vastly different from the Western worldview yet instinctively familiar—a recognition of truths long carried within.

This journey into Inka cosmovision was more than learning new techniques; it was an alignment with my core beliefs. I discovered healing trauma, shadow work, and empowerment through simple, intuitive energy work.

Driven by this clarity, I’ve dedicated myself to sharing these transformative practices. Through personalised sessions, I offer a grounded yet captivating exploration of Inka cosmovision, guiding individuals on self-discovery, empowerment, and healing.

Together, we peel back layers of conditioning, reconnecting with the essence of who you are and unlocking your potential. Join me on this transformative path to rediscover the simplicity and power of aligning with the natural flow of life.

The Andean Tawantin and our Human Powers

The chakana—Andean cross—is the core graphical representation of the Andean tawantin. But we have tawantins within us as well.

Our three human powers:

  • Munay → Located in the centre of the chest. Love under our will. The ‘love’ associated with the munay, however, is not an emotion. Munay, which is the choice for love. It is agape, or a love that arises from the self but from beyond the needs of the self. We might call it unconditional love. It is also involved with the ability to live from feelings (joy, kindness, compassion—the “higher” human attributes) rather than from emotions (the “lower” human attributes).

  • Yachay → Thoughts, the power of the intellect grounded in experience; mind, reason, knowledge, logic, understanding, perception, personal experience. But also in terms of self awareness, energy flows - the knowledge of the self.

  • Llankay: The power of action, rooted in physical manifestation. Llankay embodies our capacity for action, aligned with personal power, timing, and self-awareness. llank’ay can be broken down into two factors: khuyay, or passion; and atiy, or measuring your personal power in the moment, discerning proper timing for action, and bringing your impulses under your will. So our three human powers are actually four—they form an inner tawantin.

There are tawantins in all kinds of other areas, such as the four seasons, the four cardinal directions, the four divisions of the day, and so on. Kawsay is the living, animating energy of the immaterial universe. From it, the material universe arose, including this human world. Kawsay is beyond moral overly and is not dualistic. So there is no good or bad or positive or negative kawsay.

Sami and Hucha are its two manifestations. Everything is energy; one of the major organising principles. The energy that permeates all of Creation on various vibrational levels.

  • Sami, of the two primary kinds of kawsay, it’s the light living energy, explained by the paqos as llanthu kawsay. It is the refined energy that we draw in from
the kawsay pacha or Pachamama to empower ourselves. The “nectar” of energy that empowers us. Life-force energy. The essence of a thing. Also commonly spelled samiy.
  • Hucha, Heavy living energy (literally, llasaq kawsay). Kawsay/sami that is slowed down or becomes stagnant or blocked, and so is perceived qualitatively as heavy
or dense energy by humans and can detract from our well-being. Sami that has lost some of its transformative power. It is created only by humans.
